BLUE Hammers deliver significantly more energy to the pile per blow. This very high energy level increases the set per blow thereby reducing the amount of blows that is required to reach final penetration. For driveability, studies a GRL Weap model of the BLUE Hammer is available on request.

In a comparison study performed by Ramboll the BLUE 25M was compared to a large conventional hydraulic hammer for an installed German offshore wind farm. Due to environmental and fatigue, constraints it was not allowed to drive the monopiles at full energy resulting in a significant increase of the pile driving time. Driveability studies show that that BLUE 25M can drive the piles in a fraction of the amount of blows resulting in up to 70% decrease of the pile driving time.
